Christmas Happenings

Woo hoo! I finally found some time to sit down and share some little crafts and activities that we did in first grade last week. Most have been inspired by pinterest or fellow teachers. I am still learning about blogging so forgive me if I don't add a link back to the original source.

Candy Canes
Since we are a small school, my teaching partner and I like to do things together when we can. I teach Language Arts and Reading and Stephanie teaches Math, Science and Social Studies. Love this! I get to teach and love ALL of first grade. We planned out almost everyday with a theme. So on candy cane day, we read the Legend of the Candy Cane together. We made candy canes with fruit loops and pipe cleaners. I did not get a picture of that because the kids were so fast to eat them up. : ) You can find this craftivity on pinterest. We made these precious candy canes with their thumbprints.

The Grinch

Grinch Juice (a.k.a. Mountain Dew)

There were many more things we did but we were crazy BUSY! : ) I am so blessed beyond words to LOVE what I do and LOVE who I teach with and where I work. I hope that you had a wonderful Christmas in your classroom and with your families.

When you get the chance, be sure and add a follow button. Go to design at the top of your blog and then layout. Choose add a gadget and the follow button is the 9th one.

I would love for you to hop over and visit me when you get the chance. I am a 1st grade teacher too! =)
